For Christian elementary, middle & high schools · 32–37 weeks

Raise students who are salt & light.

Jesus called His followers to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. This advisory program helps students live that calling — building character, confidence, and faith through 30 principles, each rooted in Scripture and brought to life through role models students admire.

"You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world." — Matthew 5:13–14 (WEB)

Christian schools are called to form not just good students, but students of strong character and deep faith.

Yet advisory time often goes unused, and students grow up distracted, comparing themselves online, and unsure of who they are. This program turns that time into purposeful formation — weaving life principles, Scripture, and real-world inspiration into a journey students actually look forward to.

The heart of the program

Be salt. Be light. Shine & Dominate.

Jesus gave His followers two images of who they're called to be: salt that preserves and strengthens the world, and light that shines so others see God. The Shine & Dominate journey helps students live both.

SHINE · Light

Confidence and identity in who God made them to be — shining so others are drawn to Him. "You are the light of the world." (Matthew 5:14)

DOMINATE · Salt

Discipline, strength, and godly character that preserves what is good and influences the world around them. "You are the salt of the earth." (Matthew 5:13)

AMAZE · A City on a Hill

A life so full of purpose it cannot be hidden — serving others and pointing all glory back to God. "A city set on a hill can't be hidden." (Matthew 5:14)

"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." — Matthew 5:16

The journey

Five phases. Thirty principles. Each rooted in Scripture.

Students move through five phases that build on one another — from foundation to legacy. Each principle is practiced over two days and anchored in a verse, connecting daily growth to lasting faith. (All verses: World English Bible.)

Each principle is also brought to life through a role model students admire — showing that the character Scripture calls us to is lived out in the real world.

Why students listen

Timeless truth, taught through today's icons.

Each principle comes alive through real people students already admire — across sport, science, music, and history. They don't just hear about discipline, courage, and service; they see these virtues lived out, always pointing back to their source in God.

We study the character behind their lives — perseverance, humility, courage, generosity — and show how every student can live those same virtues. We learn from them; we worship God alone.

Why Christian schools choose this

Everything a great program offers — rooted in faith.

Many character and SEL programs do good work, but few are built for a Christian school's mission. This program matches them on the essentials — and adds Scripture, identity, and family discipleship they leave out.

How it works

Built around your school. Ready to run.

We bring the curriculum. Your advisors bring the heart. Students grow a little each day, in faith and character.

1

Built around your calendar

The program flexes to fit your school year — typically 32 to 37 weeks — slotting into your existing advisory or chapel time. We tailor the pacing to each school.

2

Advisors press play

Each week delivers one principle — a Scripture, a role model, a discussion, and a real challenge. No planning, no prep required.

3

Students grow in faith

Across the year, students build character, confidence, and a deeper walk — learning to be salt and light right where they are.

A note on Scripture: All verses are quoted from the World English Bible (public domain) and paired to reflect each principle's heart. We warmly encourage your faith leaders to review the pairings and adapt translations to your school's tradition.
